Trapped by Aza Palazola

“I wanted to show the feelings I have as a result of social distancing. The girl in the middle represents trying to understand the chaos that is going on right now and the mixed emotions caused by this situation. The symbols all around her show all of my thoughts during this time and how they are all coming at me randomly. The ruler shows how prominent the idea of social distancing has become in our minds. The boundary of the piece is a circle to represent the sensation of being trapped inside and unable to escape my thoughts.”

These pieces are in response to the art project “Boundaries.” Students were asked to create an art piece that highlights a boundary formed because of social distancing.
